A dental examination involves the collection, review and assessment of the status of a patient’s dental health and must be done after an oral prophylaxis or generalized scaling for deep seated plaque and root planing procedure.

Problems usually manifest as incipient caries, malpositioning of teeth, incorrect bite, malocclusion, crossbites, obviously wrong habits that will lead not only to malocclusion but to bodily pain and even headaches as a result of temporo-mandibular joint position imbalances that will affect the posture and bodily muscle function. The latter can further deteriorate if no remedy is provided.
